Dr. Qadir Khan (AHPRA Registration Number MED0001546567, Specialist Plastic Surgeon) moved to Perth in 2007 and completed his fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2019. He subsequently gained additional training in the UK in specialised areas of plastic surgery. Dr. Khan has contributed to plastic surgery education as part of the training faculty for courses focused on plastic surgery flap reconstruction techniques in the UK.
Dr. Khan is a member of the Australasian Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons and the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. He brings his formal surgical training and ongoing professional development to each procedure. All surgeries are performed following established protocols with attention to patient safety.
During consultations, Dr. Khan thoroughly discusses both the potential benefits and risks of any procedure, as all surgical procedures carry inherent risks that vary between individuals. Our practice prioritises informed consent and maintains strict adherence to surgical standards of care. The initial consultation is $300-$350. If there is a medical reason, there may be a medicare rebate available.
For many of our procedures, you will require a referral from your GP. We can confirm whether a referral is needed when you contact us to book your appointment.

At your initial consultation for your plastic surgery procedure, please bring the referral along with a list of any medications, allergies and relevant surgeries, if any.
Some non-aesthetic procedures may be eligible for rebates through private health insurance, depending on your policy and the medical indication for surgery. Hospital admission may be covered if the procedure is deemed medically necessary. Patients are encouraged to check with their private health fund for details regarding coverage, excess, and potential out-of-pocket costs. There may also be a gap for surgical and anaesthetic fees, depending on the complexity and duration of the procedure.
There may be a short waiting list depending on whether the plastic surgery is performed under a local anaesthetic at a day care facility or under general anaesthesia at a bigger hospital. We are able to clarify the details surrounding wait times at your consultation.
All surgical procedures are performed by our RACS-trained Specialist Plastic Surgeon, Dr Qadir Khan, at our clinic. Dr Khan has extensive experience in a range of plastic and reconstructive procedures and follows established surgical standards to support safe and effective care.
The length of a plastic surgery procedure will vary depending on the extent and complexity of the surgery. Additionally, some surgeries may combine multiple procedures and take longer as a result.
Plastic surgery procedures may be considered at any age depending on medical necessity and individual circumstances. Some reconstructive procedures are performed in infancy or childhood for clinical reasons. There is no upper age limit, though suitability is assessed based on overall health and the type of procedure.
The different types of anaesthesia we use are local, regional and general anaesthesia. Which type of anaesthesia is used will depend on the specific procedure.
